Green Wedding Color Palettes

Between St. Patrick’s Day and the first blooms of spring popping up around town, green is definitely front of mind.  In a wide array of shades, green is a powerful, but pretty, color for any wedding palette. We’ve collected 3 different wedding color schemes (with different shades of green in each) to show off the versatility of this lovely color!

Shamrock & Navy

Preppy brides should get very excited for this popular pairing!  It’s a classic combo for refined, sophisticated affairs. Above, the infusion of shamrock into this invitation suite gives it a definitely dose of happy.  Because these two colors are both so bold, use white to break them up (as with the font on the invitations above).

If you want to bring these shades into your desserts, look no further than Mother Nature. Blueberries and leaves make perfect touches for this palette. As a bonus, you won’t have to worry about your dress being stained by bright green fondant!

For this color palette, blend green and white flowers together for floral details and centerpieces. Tie everything together with striped navy linens and ribbons.

Mint & Blush

Mint and blush has been an incredibly popular color palette for weddings during the last few seasons.  It’s feminine and sweet–perfect for vintage and rustic events!  Above, mint cake stands and soft pink blooms decorate this shabby chic tablescape.

This sweet table (below) features candies in mint and pink shades in large glass jars. Complemented by cotton bunting in the same hues, the effect is delightful!

We love this modern take on a vintage-inspired floral design (above). And it beautifully blends mint and blush with an assortment of other greens.

While you may not want a bright green cake, a mint one is nothing but muted fabulousness. Decorated with dotted beading and loads of sugar flowers, the blush ribbon and mint frosting highlights just how creamy a combination this is.

Emerald & Gray

A recent Pantone color of the year, emerald is elegant and chic. You could use this color scheme for any number of wedding themes, but my favorite is when it pairs with modern, sleek style.  Above, emerald stripes line these stately gray envelopes for an unexpected addition of color.

Emerald is also a favorite when it comes to wedding fashion. Grooms love its traditional, masculine appeal (I mean, they will wear orchid for you, but only because you asked), as with this handsome combo of bow tie and gray suit (above).

And your brunette and redheaded bridesmaids will look unbelievably glowy in this hue. Pair with silver jewelry on fairer skin tones, and gold on deeper ones.  Blonder bridesmaids will favor gray, and these shades will all look terrific together as they line up behind you at the ceremony.

And of course, you don’t have to be left out of all the fun!  Ditch the white bridal confections for a gorgeous cocktail sheath in gray and shimmering emerald (below)!
