DIY from Lovely Indeed on Instagram

1. Lovely Indeed: This isn’t the first time we’ve fallen for Chelsea of Lovely Indeed, but her Instagram feed takes our affection to a whole new level. Keep an eye out for her super cute baby, Hank, and all kinds of lovely ideas. P.S. She started her blog while planning her own DIY wedding. Match made in heaven. Follow her at @lovelyindeed.

Vintage Revivals Instagram DIY mat

2. Vintage Revivals: Mandi is a DIY blogger who tackles projects on every scale fearlessly. While her actual DIYs might be better suited to life after the wedding, her snaps provide just the encouragement you may need to take on your maker dreams. Follow her at @vintagerevivals.

Sugar and Cloth DIY chocolate wedding favors

3. Sugar and Cloth: This blogger is the perfect lady to follow if you love bright pictures and DIY-inspired living. By the way, the letters above are actually chocolate. Wedding favors, anyone? Follow Ashley at @sugarandcloth.

Studio DIY Instagram

4. Studio DIY: Kelly Mindell, the creative genius behind Studio DIY, just celebrated her own wedding this past year. What does this mean for you? Ideas galore. Also, donuts. Find Kelly on Instagram at @studiodiy.

Dip dyed feathers from P.S. I Made This

6. P.S. I Made This: First of all, great minds. Second, Erica’s tagline is “I see it. I like it. I make it.” which we think should, of course, also apply to any and all things wedding. Follow her at @psimadethis.

Dip dyed escort cards from Paper and Stitch

7. Paper & Stitch: You’ll find more than pretty pictures in Brittni of Paper & Stitch’s Instagram feed – but even if that was all, we’d still recommend you follow her. Bonus: a number of her tutorials would be perfect for the events around a wedding day, like a bridal shower, as well as the big event itself! Find her at @brittnimehlhoff.

Concrete vases for table centerpieces

8. I Spy DIY: Jenny of I Spy DIY has so many wedding-worthy DIYs we couldn’t pick one if we tried. But don’t take our word for it — check out her ideas at @ispydiy.

DIY lemon branch from House That Lars Built

9. The House That Lars Built: If we had to describe blogger Brittany Watson Jenson’s style in one word, it would be “colorful.” This designer, crafter and stylist even has a hashtag (#crafttherainbow) dedicated to her love for bright hues. Follow her at @houselarsbuilt to see what we’re talking about.

A Beautiful Mess Official

10. A Beautiful Mess: We’re only slightly obsessed with the creative powers that are Elsie and Emma, the sisters behind the DIY magic at A Beautiful Mess. From bright colors to playful fonts, their work is always eye-catching and their own weddings are pretty much proof of their knack for DIYing the perfect day. Follow their Instagram account at @abeautifulmessofficial for ideas for your own celebration.

Wedding Calligraphers to Follow on Instagram

Wedding Calligraphers to Follow on Instagram

We’re not sure about you, but we’re really excited about the modern calligraphy trend that’s been taking over weddings (and our social media feeds). We’re not picky about the medium — chalkboards? Yes. Invitations? Of course. Old wooden signs? Please do. We just love the artistry of words, not to mention how beautifully calligraphy pairs with everything from bouquets to bar signs.

The best thing about modern calligraphy is how much the look and feel of this style of lettering changes from calligrapher to calligrapher. There’s no set in stone way to create pretty words and seeing the personality and style of each calligrapher reflected in their choice of shapes and ink kind of perfect. Because we could hardly rave about this art form without pointing you down the path to become every bit as obsessed as we are,  here are some of our all-time favorite calligraphers to follow on (what else?) Instagram.

Calligraphy wedding sign and flower arrangement

1. Ashley Buzzy McHugh: Atlanta-based calligrapher Ashley has an Instagram feed filled with travel, lettering and inspiring ideas. Follow her at @arbuzzy.

Gold calligraphy wedding invitations

2. Written Word Calligraphy: Gold calligraphy is always a good idea. Maybe we’ll be over this color someday…but today is not that day. Karla Lim is the designer behind Written Word Calligraphy and her romantic style and pretty pictures can all be oohed and ahhed over on her profile at @writtenwordcalligraphy.

Watercolor wedding invitations

3. Design House of Moira: This calligrapher’s account leaves us dreaming of weddings in pastel colors. And watercolor, everywhere. Be inspired at @designhouseofmoira.

Calligraphy wedding vows and wedding rings

4. The Weekend Type: It doesn’t get more romantic than calligraphy love letters — like this one from calligrapher Korie Lynn. That ring is kind of gorgeous, while we’re at it. Find her on Instagram at @theweekendtype.

watercolor and calligraphy wedding invitation

5. Manzanita: Are we sounding like a broken record yet? We love Manzanita. And we pretty much blame her incredible Instagram feed for our affection. Just check it out at @rebeccacaridad. You won’t be sorry.

simple calligraphy save the dates

6. Layers of Loveliness: These simple, elegant save-the-dates are all you really need to see to be convinced of Miya’s talent for lettering and her eye for an extra-pretty Instagram snap. Find more lovely things at @layersofloveliness.

Watercolor and calligraphy escort cards

7. Lauren Essl: One part puppy pictures, one part adventure and one part calligraphy, Lauren’s feed is bright and colorful and (right now) makes us feel like a tropical vacation is practically a necessity. Say hi at @laurenessl.

gold tray and calligraphy escort cards

8. Fleur de Letters: We had the opportunity to feature some of Kathryn’s work in one of our favorite styled shoots to date. You can see the whole shoot right here and find more of Kathryn’s calligraphy at @fleurdeletters.

Kraft paper envelope and calligraphy address

9. Cast Calligraphy: We only just learned about the @castcalligraphy feed, but this Montana-based calligrapher has us hooked.

Calligraphy succulent wedding escort card

10. Anne Robin Calligraphy: First of all, that is a succulent. With spines. And calligraphy. It’s fantastic — even though we’re not entirely sure what to call it. For now, we’re going with “calligraphy succulent escort ‘card’” but we’re open to suggestions. The rest of Anne Robin’s feed, which you can find at @annerobincallig, is just as captivating.

Who are your favorite calligraphers to follow on Instagram? We’d love to hear your recommendations in the comments below.
